Frontier Adds Flights to Tampa, Orlando, Austin and More in Major Expansion

Low-cost Frontier Airlines is expanding its domestic network in New York, Los Angeles, and beyond by rolling out nearly a dozen new routes.

“As consumers look ahead to the fall and winter months and make their holiday plans, we are thrilled to once again expand our roster of convenient and affordable travel options,” said Frontier’s vice president of network and operations design, Josh Flyr, in a statement. “From warm weather destinations such as Southern California, Texas, and Florida or winter sports meccas Utah and Colorado, to popular metropolitan areas like New York, Atlanta and Washington, D.C., there are now even more exciting destinations to choose from when flying Frontier.”

These new flights are on sale for just $19 one-way for a limited time, and the full list can be found below:

  • Atlanta (ATL) and Austin (AUS): Starts Oct. 11 on a 3x/weekly basis
  • Atlanta (ATL) and Newark (EWR): Starts Nov. 4 on a once-daily basis 
  • Atlanta (ATL) and Washington, D.C. (IAD): Starts Nov. 14 on a once-daily basis
  • Burbank (BUR) and Phoenix (PHX): Starts Nov. 21 on a 4x/weekly basis
  • Burbank (BUR) and San Francisco (SFO): Starts Nov. 21 on a daily basis
  • Burbank (BUR) and Denver (DEN): Starts Nov. 22 on a 3x/weekly basis
  • New York (JFK) and Orlando (MCO): Starts Oct. 27 on a once-daily basis
  • New York (JFK) and Tampa (TPA): Starts Oct. 27 on a once-daily basis
  • Salt Lake City (SLC) and San Francisco (SFO): Starts Oct. 11 on a 3x/weekly basis
  • Sarasota (SRQ) and Cincinnati (CVG): Starts Oct. 12 on a once-weekly basis
  • Washington, D.C. (IAD) and Orlando (MCO): Starts Nov. 14 on a 4x/weekly basis

Just this month, Frontier launched service from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) for the first time ever. The airline operates service to Las Vegas (LAS) and Atlanta (ATL) as it builds out of its route network from the major airport. 

Additionally, Frontier won’t be the only carrier operating any of the flights listed above. Major airlines like Delta Air Lines and United Airlines, along with other low-cost options like Allegiant Air, are already operating these routes. With Frontier’s operating model, travelers can benefit from affordable fares or enjoy unlimited flights through the carrier’s all-you-can-fly passes
