Monday’s championship game didn’t start as the kind of dominant performance that the Good Counsel girls’ lacrosse team traditionally puts on in Washington Catholic Athletic Conference play.
The Falcons won every game against WCAC competition by at least nine goals this season but surrendered the opening goal of Monday’s final against St. John’s and was stuck in a low-scoring tie early in the second quarter at Georgetown University.
