At a crowded resort on the Dead Sea, the survivors of Hamas’s attack on Kibbutz Kissufim keep reliving the nightmare. Their small farming collective of 300 people was a paradise, they remembered. But that’s all it is now — a memory.
In the early hours of Saturday, their home became a scene of gun battles, kidnappings and slaughter.
The residents of Kissufim cannot return home, so the government is housing them in a hotel, the kind normally reserved for holidays. There are hundreds of survivors from other communities here, each with their own stories.
