House’s impeach inquiry into Joe Biden: Letters

The Issue: The House’s first hearing in the impeachment investigation of President Biden.

As I viewed the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability inquiry into President Biden, I noticed that most every Democrat that spoke did so with angst, rudeness, snarkiness and a raised voice (“Dems can’t stop impeach inquiry,” Sept. 29).

Shouting at a hearing doesn’t automatically make the orator correct. The Democrats categorically denied and refuted any and every allegation of Biden’s possible criminality.

So, how are these committee Democrats so positive of the president’s innocence? How do they absolutely know that Biden is not guilty?

I say, let the investigation run its course and see what is discovered. Why are the Dems so worried if there has been no wrongdoing?

Biden allegedly took money while in high office from our adversaries and other nations. He has compromised himself as president.

Members of the Democratic Party, the deep state of government and the media have been obfuscating the truth and outright lying.

Yet there is overwhelming circumstantial as well as direct evidence of his actions.

The House GOP held its first impeachment-inquiry hearing on Biden’s alleged corruption.

Republicans have insisted for months that the president is guilty of criminal wrongdoing, but they have yet to produce any actual evidence of their claims. Here we go again.

Republicans called on Jonathan Turley, a conservative legal scholar. He was set to act as a content witness to help analyze the Biden family’s business dealings — but he said: “I do not believe that the evidence currently meets the standard of a high crime and misdemeanor needed for an article of impeachment.”

Turley also said he did believe it was “warranted” for the House to investigate potential connections between Biden and his son Hunter’s business dealings.

We, the public, realize that this is another Republican Benghazi investigation all over again — no evidence but plenty of show. Only this time, the public is feed up with their foolishness.

As usual, the rogue Democrats behave in ways that set them up for future problems (“10 reasons it’s worth investigating Joe Biden,” Jonathan Turley, Sept. 29).

Well, the future is here, Democrats. You set such a low bar to justify impeachment of former President Donald Trump that it appears truly ludicrous for you to say there is “no evidence” to impeach Biden.

The list compiled by Turley is mountainous. My only disagreement with him is that it only rises to the level of suspicion. Seems like enough evidence to guarantee a conviction — if not for the fact that dishonest Democrats will never vote for it.

Hunter Biden is the gift that keeps on giving. The latest from the House Ways and Means Committee: An IRS agent said CNN has an email saying Hunter Biden claimed his legal “stuff’ would go away under the Biden administration.

Think about it: If Republicans in the House were not the majority, this claim probably would never see the light of day. Thank you, House Ways and Means Committee for doing your job — and the job that most White House correspondents refuse to do.

It seems we all have news amnesia. What else can explain looking the other way on the blatant alleged bribery and extortion committed by President Biden?

Then-Vice President Biden threaten to withhold $1 billion to Ukraine unless it fire a top prosecutor who was investigating Burisma.

So the latest news on the impeachment inquiry comes way after the fact. Action should have been taken back in 2020.

Our VP overreached when he demanded another country fire a prosecutor. How would we take it if a foreign national told us to do the same thing?
