SOUTHWEST Fla. — We welcomed real estate agent Aprile Osborne back into the ABC7 studio to discuss Ian’s impact on new residential construction – specifically, what sort of changes we can expect to state and local building codes.

So, after Hurricane Ian swept through Southwest Florida last year, what changes should you expect?
Some include:
- Elevated homes
- Revised elevation maps
- Affordable housing
