Krispy Kreme is bringing its fans one more sweet treat to indulge in for breakfast.
On Monday, the doughnut shop unveiled its new Doughnut Dots, which it describes as “a new assortment of tiny, tasty takes on your favorite Krispy Kreme doughnuts that are small in size, huge in fun and flavor, and perfect for poppin’.”
The new Doughnut Dots include four flavors, all of which are joining the brand’s permanent menu. The flavors include Powdered, which Krispy Kreme describes as an “Original Glazed doughnut hole tossed in sweet, powdered topping,” along with the Sprinkled, which is another Original Glazed with rainbow nonpareils. Then there’s the Cinnamon, an Original Glazed doughnut hole with a cinnamon topping, and finally, there’s Cookie Crumb — an Original Glazed doughnut hole “tossed in a cookie crumb topping and sprinkled with sweet, powdered topping.”
“Krispy Kreme fans can now double down on delicious when picking up their regular dozen by enjoying our new lineup of Doughnut Dots,” Dave Skena, the global chief brand officer for Krispy Kreme, shared in a statement. “They’re bite-sized, fun, and made fresh daily. They’re perfect for sharing, or you can pop ’em yourself when you’re on the go.”
The Assorted Doughnut Dots, including the Original Glazed Doughnut Dots, come in a 10-count cup or 24-count box and are available in-shop and via pickup on the app and website. Though they are a part of the permanent lineup, fans may want to try them soon, as Krispy Kreme is currently celebrating Dollar Doughnut Dot Days now through June 16, giving guests the chance to score a 10-count cup of assorted Doughnut Dots or Original Glazed Doughnut Dots for $1 with the purchase of any dozen doughnuts.
Krispy Kreme has been rather busy with its limited and permanent lineup additions, including its three “Minis for Mom Collection” doughnuts for Mother’s Day, and its new collaboration with Dolly Parton, the Southern Sweets Doughnut Collection, which includes four new flavors, all inspired by Southern desserts, including the Dolly Dazzler Doughnut, the Peachy Keen Cobbler Doughnut, the Banana Puddin’ Pie Doughnut, and the Chocolate Crème Pie Doughnut. While these too were limited-edition sweets, Krispy Kreme did at least recently add its Original Glazed Cinnamon Rolls to its menu seven days a week.
