The Biden administration plans to move forward with more than $1 billion in weapons deals for Israel, U.S. officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter told The Washington Post, despite withholding a shipment of bombs last week due to concerns over Israel’s planned attack on Rafah. The United Nations is investigating the killing of a U.N. security worker in Rafah; a U.N. spokesperson said the worker is believed to have been killed by tank fire and that it was safe to assume only Israel operates tanks in the region.
