FORT MYERS, Fla. — Thousands of people laced up their shoes this weekend in Fort Myers and walked to save lives.
The Lee County Heart Walk raised a whopping $255,000 for the American Heart Association, exceeding this year’s goal.
The money funds life-saving research, medical breakthroughs, CPR training and much more. Many participants walked for a loved one impacted by heart disease or stroke or for their own journey related to heart health.
