Man, 57, fatally shot inside Austin laundromat, police say

A 57-year-old man was shot and killed Saturday night inside a laundromat in the Austin neighborhood, according to Chicago police.

Police said an unidentified man went inside a laundromat in the 4800 block of West Chicago Avenue. After approaching the victim, police said the man pulled out a gun and shot him multiple times at 9:11 p.m. before fleeing the scene.

The victim was transported to West Suburban Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said no suspects are in custody, and that they’re investigating the shooting.
