A man suffered a gunshot wound to the head while he was driving Wednesday morning in the West Garfield Park neighborhood, police said.
Shortly before 10 a.m., the man, whose exact age was not available, was driving east in the 3900 block of Adams Street when he suffered a wound to the head.
The man was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigating, and no one was in custody, police said.
