Man dead after being shot in the head, another injured in Grand Crossing, police say

One person was killed and another injured in a shooting in Grand Crossing early Sunday morning, according to Chicago police.

A man fired shots at two men standing on the sidewalk in the 7400 block of South Stewart Avenue at about 1:10 a.m., police said.

An adult man was shot in the head, police said. The Chicago Fire Department transported him to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

A 50-year-old man was shot in the right leg. He was also transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition, according to police.

No suspects are in custody and police said they are investigating.
