COMPTON, Calif. – One person is dead and several others are hurt after a mass shooting broke out at a pool party in Compton.

The Compton Fire Department responded to a call along the East Greenleaf Boulevard in Compton. A man was killed in the shooting while a second man and three women were all rushed to the hospital, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.

The deadly shooting remains under investigation. As of 9 p.m., no arrests have been announced in the shooting.

Officials have not released the identity of the person shot and killed.
