CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Cape Coral police are looking for two people seen early Monday morning in Northeast Cape Coral pointing a stolen gun at cars.

Cape Coral police said these two masked bandits were holding a stolen gun outside of some Cape Coral homes.

“I was like, what the heck is this,” resident Josh Uaedilla said. He saw these two on his security camera.

At first, they were hiding from a car’s headlights driving by, and then they tried to open his locked car door on NE 23rd Ave.

“Young kids, that’s what I think because, in the video, they look young,” Uaedilla said.

Cape Coral police said the same thing; these two are probably teens. But this wasn’t the first house they were at on Monday.

“And the gun that they were messing with, I think it was stolen because they didn’t even look like they knew how to use it,” he said.

Police tell us they stole that gun from a neighbor; you can see them pointing it in the air.

“It was comical, kind of just like watching two dumber, dumber people just didn’t know what they were doing like they were going to hurt themselves,” he said.

This is the first time he has seen people in his neighborhood off Kismet Parkway trying to break into cars.

“So, what if my wife came out with the kids? And they were still here. It is pretty scary,” he said.

At some point in the video, they drop part of the gun and leave it there.

“On the suit, it said Sigg on it, and that was all it was a small little case,” he said.

That part of the gun and fingerprints from the car now sit in evidence at the CCPD.

“I just hope they find them because we do not need that crap around here,” he said.

Neighbors think these two could live nearby.

“They were actually wearing slippers, so I think they live close by. I’m not sure if they live close by or they just were walking,” he said.

If you recognize these two people call CCPD.
