The Monarch School in San Diego hosted its second annual Metamorphosis Art Exhibition on May 12 at the school’s Center for the Arts, The Chrysalis.
Monarch is the only public K-12 school in the U.S. designed to serve unhoused students.
The event honored the students’ stories of change, growth, determination and resilience. It showcased student, family and staff artwork, including paintings, photography, fiber arts and sculptures.
Guests enjoyed a cocktail reception and student-led tours of the exhibition, student performances and an auction, during which all guests were able to select a piece of art to take home.
The event raised $150,000 to support The Chrysalis.
