The Naples Community Hospital (NCH) went above and beyond to make sure a mother didn’t miss her daughter’s wedding day.

NCH said the couple, Devon and Zachary, had plans to get married in the Keys. The mother of the bride, Cindy, is in their critical care unit and unable to leave the hospital, so they brought the wedding to her!

Chaplain Vanessa Fletcher performed the ceremony in the hospital room with about 20 friends and relatives. The nurses worked with the hospital’s spiritual, food and environmental service teams to set up a small reception with a wedding cake and decorations.  

The bride is so thankful they made this happen and said it was one of the most special moments of their lives.
