The cold waters of Lynn Creek on the North Shore were too much for a swimmer who got stuck below Twin Bridges in Lynn Canyon Park.

North Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services’ rope team was called in Sunday to pull the person out of the steep rocks and rushing water.

That stretch of the creek — near some popular cliff jumps — is notorious for rescues, injuries, and deaths.

The fire department warns Lynn Creek is running very high and there are a lot of hazards right now.

CityNews has reached out to the fire department for more information.
