Last week, actor Paul Giamatti made headlines when he was spotted at a Los Angeles In-N-Out with a shiny companion — his newly acquired Golden Globe Award for best actor. He took the foot-tall statue into the Westwood fast food joint with him following the 81st annual awards ceremony.
On Jan. 15 at the Critics Choice Awards, Giamatti was at it again: He accepted the award for best actor one more time, and couldn’t help but bring up In-N-Out. While accepting his Best Actor Award for “The Holdovers,” the first thing out of Giamatti’s mouth was a joke about his newfound fast food fame.
“Wow, guys. I didn’t think my week could get any better than going viral for eating a cheeseburger,” he said sarcastically. The crowd applauded and laughed.

“Serious, guys. I need that endorsement, so let’s all just pray for me,” he continued while twisting his new awards statue in his hands.
Giamatti has been on a tear these past seven days winning awards for his performance in the comedy-drama film, where he plays a boarding school teacher forced to chaperone kids over Christmas break.
He went on to thank his cast mates and the crew he worked with on the movie, while also thanking his management team. Last but not least, he thanked his son in a loving manner.
