LOS ANGELES (KABC) — A suspect was taken into custody Tuesday night after a high-speed chase ended in a crash in the southeast Los Angeles area in which a vehicle and a pedestrian were struck.

The pursuit initially began around 8 p.m. on the NB 110 Freeway from the 405 Freeway.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the vehicle – a red Lexus – was involved in a felony incident, though further details weren’t immediately released.

At one point, the suspect was hitting speeds of over 120 mph as they drove on the 60 Freeway in the San Gabriel Valley, narrowly avoiding other vehicles while switching lanes.

At one point, the Lexus lost three tires. After about an hour, the suspect violently crashed near Manchester Avenue and Avalon Boulevard.

AIR7 captured at least two people being placed onto gurneys.

This is a developing story. This article will continue to be updated as more information becomes available.
