Popeyes Is Going on a Wing Tour This College Football Season — With an Actual ‘Wing Truck’

Popeyes is here to make your house the spot to be this football season.

On Wednesday, the Miami-based fast food chain announced that it’s “committed to ensuring every football gathering is packed with flavor and fun.” And it’s doing so via its recently launched Sweet ‘N Smokey Chipotle Wings flavor and by teaming up with DoorDash to bring all its football-appropriate flavors right to your door, tailgate, and watch parties. And for a few extremely lucky fans, it will also deliver its Wing Truck to your door too.

“At Popeyes, we know the excitement of game day goes beyond the field — it’s also about bringing people together to enjoy great food and great moments. And, as the Official Wing of Watching Football, we’re committed to being a part of every fan’s experience, no matter where they choose to watch,” Bart LaCount, the company’s chief marketing officer, shared. “By bringing our Wings to watch parties and tailgates across the country, we’re not only serving up those bold, Louisiana flavors our fans know and love, but also making sure that Popeyes is at the heart of every football celebration.”

The Popeyes x DoorDash Wing Truck Tour will make at least six stops in the South.

Here’s how it all works: Fans can enter for a chance to win a “Popeyes Wing Truck pull-up” to their house, which will come fully equipped with everything to turn your watch party into a full-fledged, Super Bowl Ring-worthy event. The truck will bring games, music, a “feast of Popeyes Wings” and sides, along with what Popeyes calls “photo moments” so you can capture content for your social media and make everyone you know jealous.

But that’s not all. Popeyes is also taking the fun (and its wings) on the road this season for some college tailgating events. The Popeyes x DoorDash Wing Truck Tour will make the following stops:

  • October 12 – Baton Rouge, LA
  • October 19 – Greensboro, NC (HBCU)
  • October 26 – Atlanta, Georgia (HBCU)
  • November 2 – Tallahassee, Florida (HBCU)
  • November 16 – Athens, GA
  • November 30 – Columbus, Ohio

And if you don’t win the chance for the truck to come by, that’s ok, as Popeyes is also offering a  new Tailgating Bundle exclusively available through DoorDash across the U.S. Starting on October 5,  10/5, fans can get the “Popeyes Tailgate Bundle,” which includes a 24 piece Wings with up to four flavor selections, three regular sides, and four dipping sauces, all for $25. The deal will be available every Saturday and Sunday throughout the football season. See more about the deal and how to get that truck to your house at PopeyesOfficialWingTruck.com.
