Rain, wind increasing throughout day, temperatures in mid 40s

National Weather Service officials are expecting light rain for the majority of Tuesday with temperatures in the mid 40s with a chance of wind gusts up to 30 mph in portions of the Chicago area.

Officials said there is an 100% chance of rain Tuesday, mainly before 10 a.m. A northwest wind is about 5 to 10 mph expecting to increase to 10 to 15 mph as the day moves forward, officials said.

Current afternoon conditions at O’Hare International Airport are overcast at 41 degrees, and farther south at Midway Airport temperatures registered at 44 degrees with light rain.

Wednesday, conditions are expected to clear, with temperatures in the mid 40s on Thanksgiving Day.
