The Ramona Country Fair, presented by the Ramona Chamber of Commerce, takes place from Friday to Sunday at the Ramona Outdoor Community Center, 421 Aqua Lane.

The fair offers everything from rides and carnival games to wine tasting, bands, fair foods and a midway, a motorcycle exhibition, an off-road show and a cornhole tournament. Equestrian shows will be returning, including the Hole in the Wall Gang, and Medieval and Renaissance performances by Adrian Empire.

Festivities kick off Thursday with the Cheers to the Valley Wine Festival from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Pavilion at the Community Center. Local wineries will be offering unlimited tastings and light appetizers. Singer-guitarist Jon Hasz of Ramona will perform. Art and specialty crafts from local artists will be offered for sale. Tickets are $50; RSVP is encouraged. Visit ramonachamber.com/cheerstothevalley or the Ramona Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.

Friday’s events open at 4 p.m. and include the equestrian groups practicing at 6 p.m. Several of the groups offer youth activities, living history and re-enactments. Music performances include Lady Psychiatrist’s Booth at 6 p.m. and Farm Truck at 7:30 p.m., followed by Patrick Howard Trampus.

Saturday’s events include the cornhole tournament at 11 a.m. (registration at 10 a.m.) and the off-road car show, also at 11 a.m. Music performances include Thea The Band at 6 p.m., followed by The Beard & The Bird at 7:30 p.m., with Big Sky Moon following.

Sunday will see the motorcycle exhibition, with a pit area where people can talk to the racers. Live music begins at 11 a.m., Jason Winters performs at 3:30 p.m., and Banda Night follows to close out the weekend.

Admission to the fair is free; ride tickets can be purchased online and picked up at Will Call (the Main Bar) at the fair. Hours are 4 to 11 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Parking passes can be purchased for the day or the whole weekend at ramonachamber.com/ramona-country-fair. Otherwise, cash is required for parking at $10 per day or $15 unlimited.

The Ramona Country Fair overlaps with the Ramona Junior Fair, which started July 22 and runs through Saturday, also at the Outdoor Community Center. Youths involved in 4-H, FFA and the Grange are competing for blue ribbons, with the event culminating in a livestock auction at 1 p.m. Saturday. For details, visit ramonajuniorfair.com.
