The stage is set for San Francisco Pride with the organization’s announcement of the much anticipated main stage performance lineup. More than a million people are expected to take part in the 53rd annual parade and festival, scheduled for Saturday, June 24, and Sunday, June 25.
Princess Nokia will headline the mainstage on Saturday. An alternative rapper who got their start performing in New York City’s gay nightlife scene, Princess Nokia is a natural fit for SF Pride.
Shaun Ross, a model, musical artist and faux Beyonce hater, takes second billing on Saturday. Oakland To All, a Bay Area ballroom collective and key players in Oakland’s queer nightlife renaissance, is also on the schedule for Saturday.
Singer Hayley Kiyoko is set to headline Sunday. A former child star, Kiyoko is also a New York Times bestselling author in addition to an accomplished musician.
Singer Vincint will perform earlier in the day Sunday. Vincint has enjoyed a successful career despite being on Fox’s much-maligned competition series “The Four: Battle for Stardom.”
San Francisco’s first-ever drag laureate D’Arcy Drollinger is slated to host the festivities on Sunday, with San Francisco Mayor London Breed also expected to make an appearance.
Cheer SF, a nonprofit cheer squad that raises money for those living with HIV/AIDS, will be on hand both days.
Kaleena Zanders, The Blssm, Rock M. Sakura, Alex Lahey, Kelechi, Tomás Matos, Ensamble Folclórico Colibrí, Parivar, Saturn Risin9 and Tookta Orwan round out the two-day event.
The main stage performances all take place at San Francisco’s Civic Center Plaza from noon to 6 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
