Showers expected before 1 p.m., high of 70 degrees

National Weather Service officials are expecting showers Saturday morning in portions of north central and northeast Illinois, and northwest Indiana.

Officials said there is a 60% chance of showers, mainly before 1 p.m. Showers will impact the area early Saturday, and a few thunderstorms will be possible south of I-80.

Current afternoon conditions at Chicago’s airports are fog and mist at 64 degrees. A high of 70 degrees is expected Saturday.
