Some Lee County student Chromebooks reportedly hacked

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — A number of student Chromebooks across Lee County were hacked, according to school district officials.

The School District of Lee County said the hack was not from outside the district.

District officials also said every elementary, middle and high school student has a Chromebook, with the official count being 89,337.

The number of Chromebooks that have been compromised is unknown at this time.
