South Korea’s Kospi Slips 0.1%; Internet Stocks Weigh

0040 GMT — South Korea’s benchmark Kospi gave up opening gains to slip 0.1% to 2508.96 in early trade due to foreign and institutional selling. Internet-related stocks are weighing on the overall index. SK Telecom is down 0.6%, with internet company Kakao losing 0.7%. Videogame company Krafton is down 1.4%. Industrial and construction sector stocks are up, with power-equipment maker Doosan Enerbility adding 1.2% and Doosan Robotics up 2.8%. Meanwhile, Hyundai Engineering & Construction and GS Engineering & Construction are both up by 1.5%. ([email protected])
