Starting the day off, we will feel warm and muggy with lots of sunshine. By the afternoon, clouds will increase ahead of the cold front. Highs will still run warm in the lower 80s.
The highest potential for strong storms on Sunday will be north of our area. However, we still have the potential for a few downpours and gusty winds in DeSoto, Charlotte, and Lee County late afternoon/evening. As the front progresses across SWFL, the rain is forecast to fizzle out. Clouds will clear out north to south by Monday morning.
The front will bring in much cooler air. Highs on Monday will struggle to top 70 degrees, with a chilly Tuesday morning ahead with wind chill values in the low to mid-40s. BRR!
