The exodus of household names at ESPN continues.
Suzy Kolber announced Friday on Twitter that her time with the company has come to an end after 27 years.
“Today I join the many hard-working colleagues who have been laid off. Heartbreaking-but 27 years at ESPN was a good run,” Kolber tweeted.
“So grateful for a 38 yr career! Longevity for a woman in this business is something I’m especially proud of. Next step- a project that gives back.”
Kolber’s most recent roles included hosting ESPN’s “Monday Night Countdown” and contributing to the network’s NFL Draft coverage.
Tributes began pouring in for Kolber immediately after she announced the news.
“Suzy Kolber is a pioneer and a legend. She, like others laid off today, always will be remembered and missed,” tweeted ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter.
ESPN NFL host and reporter Field Yates also applauded Kolber’s “incredible run.”
“Your professionalism and passion for football is unmatched. Thank you for being an amazing teammate and inspiring many people along the way,” Yates tweeted.

On Friday, ESPN began the latest round of its layoffs, with several big names among the expect 20 on-air personalities being let go.
Network stalwarts Jeff Van Gundy, Max Kellerman, Keyshawn Johnson, Suzy Kolber, Matt Hasselbeck, Steve Young and Todd McShay were some of the biggest names let go of by ESPN.
It marked the third round of layoffs by the “Worldwide Leader,” with the previous two focusing on behind-the-scenes workers.
The massive layoffs come as part of mandates from parent company Disney, which announced earlier this year that around 7,000 jobs would be eliminated.

Former ESPN producer Ashok Moore said of Kolber, “Suzy embodies the spirit of the ESPN we were raised in. An ESPN legend. She made us all look great every day and represented the company with grace and professionalism always. A sad day.”
The Post’s Andrew Marchand reported Friday that about 20 on-air talents would be laid off as ESPN’s parent company, Disney, has mandated sweeping cost cuts.
Other big names who have been let go include Jeff Van Gundy, Jalen Rose, Max Kellerman, Keyshawn Johnson, Ashley Brewer and LaPhonso Ellis.
