Jurassic Quest: The Jurassic Quest experience will visit San Diego County for one weekend as part of a Southern California tour. This family-friendly event will walk participants through an interactive opportunity to learn about dinos from the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. It features dinosaur rides, live shows, art activities, inflatables and interactive science. Visitors can participate in a self-guided paleontology activity, see a herd of animatronic dinosaurs and help lasso stray dinosaurs. “SUPERFLEX: Beyond the End of the World”: On Saturday, Institute of Contemporary Art San Diego/North will open an exhibit of works by the Danish art collective SUPERFLEX. Its three members use art to investigate alternative systems of social and economic organization. Over the years their works have taken the form of energy systems, beverages, sculptures, hypnosis sessions, paintings, plant nurseries, contracts, and public spaces. For their local exhibit, they’re exhibiting work that emphasizes interspecies living. Works include the film “Beyond the End of the World,” which offers a glimpse of a post-Anthropocene future, as well as a site-specific ceramic installation that draws on imagery from the film.
