The Charlotte area Holiday Bus is providing fair-free Trips

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) Holiday Bus is providing free trips from December 1 to January 6 for riders. The bus, decorated in fun, festive designs, is being placed in CATS circulation on various routes throughout the greater Charlotte region.


What You Need To Know

  • Charlotte Area Transit System is bringing back the Holiday Bus
  • Riders on the Holiday Bus will ride fare-free from Dec. 1 to Jan. 6
  • Riders are encouraged to share photos if the Holiday Bus appears at their stop

If the Holiday Bus shows up on a rider’s route, their ride will be fare-free. The purpose is to add to the rider’s overall public transit experience by spreading extra holiday cheer.

Riders are encouraged to share photos of the Holiday Bus and CATS on X (@CATSRideTransit), Instagram (@RideCATS) and Facebook (@Charlotte Area Transit System).
