I consider myself a fairly modest person, but I’ll give myself credit when credit is due. Case in point? A killer travel outfit that checks all the boxes. Enter the pajama-like, flowy, button-down duo that’s elevated my wardrobe in a major way. If I had a dollar for every time I received a compliment on this 100-percent polyester two-piece, I’d be able to upgrade to the trendy $216 Muse loungewear set from Alo Yoga. But, in all honesty, would I even want to? After going back to buy this budget-friendly Amazon set five times, I think I’m good. 

My love affair with the Artfree Pleated Loungewear Set began in 2023 when I caught one of my TikTok besties, who goes by @thesocialitefiles, wearing the green version paired with a fancy handbag; I flew to the comments. She gave me the info I needed, and I’ve never looked back. Dozens of flights, dinners, meetings, parties, and appointments later, it’s safe to say some variation of this gem has successfully infiltrated almost every aspect of my life.

I’m big on looking presentable at the airport. I don’t care what time of day it is, I always like to look and feel fresh — it honestly helps me maneuver the airport more confidently and quickly. But anyone who’s ever hopped on a plane knows that comfort is key — what is style if you feel constricted mid-air? This cozy, accessible matching set offers the no-fuss fancy fashion I’m looking for without compromising comfort, which is why it’s become my go-to travel outfit. 

Although it might feel as comfortable as wearing pajamas, this set photographs like a Neiman’s best-seller. And, even though the material isn’t too thick, it’s enough to keep me bundled when the plane is freezing cold. The material is also easy to clean and dries quickly, making the set perfect for someone like myself, who tends to spill things everywhere.

I’ve done quite a bit of traveling in 2024, and many of my getaways have been work-related. Sometimes, I have plenty of time to check in at my hotel, shower, and refresh for dinner, but other times, I don’t even have enough time to change. That’s when my trusty two-piece has come into play: I can sleep on the plane in this pajama-like set, and then throw on some heels and be dolled up for dinner minutes after landing.

I love this outfit so much that I now own it in five colors, which have all suited various trips over the past year. For instance, I wore the black set (which actually looks more like a deep navy blue in person) for a one-day trip to Oakland, California with LUUM Lash. I then rocked that same shade on the plane to San Francisco for coastal-chic vibes visiting Sausalito with EO Products. I even mixed and matched the hot pink and vibrant green sets with other pieces in my luggage when I visited Maui on a press trip at the Grand Wailea Resort with Kilolani Spa.

This outfit was also the breakout star of a Carnival cruise I took to Mexico. I traveled carry-on-only, and this set took up hardly any room in my travel-size tote, which needed to hold nine days of clothing and accessories; I mixed and matched it with everything. And, how can I forget a few months ago when I missed my flight to Portland — and nearly missed a date as well. Conveniently wearing my favorite set, I hopped off the plane and headed straight to dinner, luggage in hand. (Although we never made it to date number two, I did leave date number one with plenty of compliments on my outfit!)

It’s one thing for me to rave over something I love, but it’s another to see other people who agree. One reviewer who has the baby blue set said that it “fits like a charm” and makes them feel “super sexy,” while another shopper referred to their green set as something they’ll be “wearing everywhere,” including brunch and an upcoming cruise. “I love that I can wear the pieces separately or together,” they added. “[It’s] super soft, vibrant (just like pictured), wrinkle-free.”

Clearly, the versatility of my stunning ensemble speaks volumes; I love that I can wear it to a rooftop party during the summer as well as a holiday party in the winter. It also takes up minimal room in your closet — although there’s no way this set will just sit there collecting dust.
