The Kid Laroi knows a girls night out isn’t complete without the perfect energy-building playlist. The singer cracked the formula on his new single “Girls,” which he started teasing on TikTok over a month ago with a viral snippet where he boasts: “Fuck your ex-man, I’m the man now/Think I feel bad, he was fanned out/Do what you like, you’ve been too nice/He didn’t do right, that’s too bad now.”

Since first teasing “Girls” in early May, the song has been used in more than 27,700 videos on TikTok. Laroi also hinted at a potential feature on the record — fans in the comments rooted for a cameo from Jack Harlow, whose popular single “Lovin’ On Me” taps into the same feel good vein — but ultimately delivered it solo.

“Girls” arrives with an accompanying music video directed by Bradley Calder. Social media influencer Alix Earle stars in the video, which centers around a bunch of women pouring drinks and dancing around a mansion at a vibrant house party. Influencers Lily Chee and Olivia Dunne also appear in the visual. Upon the song’s release, Laroi revealed on Instagram that Calder only had three days to pull the video together.

The 20-year-old crafted “Girls” with producers Jon Bellion, Pete Nappi, Tenroc, Rogét Chahayed, and songwriters Jason Sornet and Alexander Izquierdo. “We had so much fun & im so happy that we all became friends through this process,” the singer shared, adding: “We’re not stopping either. more music otw. I love you all beyond words & thank you for sticking with me.”

The single marks Laroi’s first music release since sharing “Still Yours,” a song from her documentary Kids Are Growing Up, in March. He released his debut album The First Time in November 2023 featuring the lead singles “Bleed,” “Too Much,” “Love Again,” and more.
