Finland’s flagship carrier, Finnair, will expand in the United States next summer, launching its largest-ever schedule from the U.S. to Finland.

To accomplish that, Finnair will add extra flights to four cities it currently serves: Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, and Seattle, the airline told Travel + Leisure. The airline also flies to both Miami and New York.

“While this summer comes to an end, here at Finnair we are ready to take-off with a bumper schedule for summer 2025,” Javier Roig Sanchez, Finnair’s general manager for North America, said in a statement shared with T+L. “From our first long-haul flight to New York back in 1969, we’ve come a long way in the US, and know these extra transatlantic flights will prove popular with those travelling for business, leisure, or visiting family and friends.”

Starting March 30, 2025, Finnair will increase flights from Helsinki to Los Angeles to five times per week (from this past summer’s three times per week). One-way flights from Los Angeles start at $523, according to the airline’s website.

The airline will fly daily from Finland to Chicago next summer (an increase from the current five times per week), and will operate up to 11 weekly flights from Dallas (up from this past summer’s six weekly flights). One-way flights from Chicago next summer start at $468, while one-way flights from Dallas start at $543, according to Finnair.

Finally, Finnair will plan to operate two extra weekly flights to Seattle during peak periods next summer. Those flights start at $543 one-way.

Finnair operates a fleet of mostly Airbuses along with Embraer 190 and ATR 72-500 aircraft, according to the carrier. It offers several ticket types from the “economy superlight” fare, which does not include a carry-on bag, to business class options complete with a lie-flat bed with mattress pad and Nordic-inspired meals on long-haul flights.

The airline recently completed a $200 million overhaul of its cabins and officially rolled it out on flights across the U.S. The makeover included a new business class seat, a new premium economy cabin, and a refreshed economy cabin.
