Three people were killed in a crash in Big Rock Saturday night, Kane County Sheriff’s Department officials said in a press release Sunday.
At approximately 9:28 p.m. Saturday, sheriff’s deputies responded to a crash with serious injuries at Route 30 and Davis Road in Big Rock, according to the release.
A preliminary investigation indicates that a gray Honda Civic driven by Jaime Bibiano, 55, of Waterman, was traveling westbound on Route 30 from Davis Road, according to officials.
Bibiano allegedly passed a vehicle in front of him in the eastbound lane in a no-passing zone, according to officials. A blue 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Scott Luczynski, 56, of Elburn, and a passenger on the motorcycle, Kathleen Luczynski, 58, of Elburn, were traveling eastbound on Route 30 approaching Davis Road. While Bibiano was passing on the left, his vehicle struck the motorcycle head on, officials said in the release.
Kathleen Luczynski was pronounced dead at the scene. Bibiano was located in his vehicle and was also pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
Scott Luczynski was taken to Ascension Mercy in Aurora where he was pronounced dead at 10:19 p.m. Saturday, according to the release.
Sheriff’s detectives continue to investigate the crash, officials said.
