The Laundry Pub opens in Coronado
The Laundry Pub, an American-style casual restaurant and beer restaurant, opened in March at the Hotel Del Coronado.
The restaurant is inside the historic hotel’s original laundry building, which was built in 1919. The newly restored building’s original laundry conveyor system tracks remain, along with some signage that dates to 1925. The restaurant also offers billiards, darts, shuffleboard, foosball, pinball and retro video games.

Menu highlights include the Cluck & Waff chicken and waffles dish; Nashville “Hot Cycle” hot chicken sandwich; Worth the Quarters pork nuggets; Triple Starched mac ‘n’ cheese fritters; Rinse & Repeat shishito peppers; and Fluff & Fold gem salad. Also featured are burgers, fries and more. The restaurant’s bar serves several local beers on tap, including Lagunitas, Stone, Coronado Brewing Co., Ale Smith, Karl Strauss, Pizza Port, Eppig, Mother Earth and Mike Hess.

Our Green Affair opens café
Our Green Affair, a 4-year-old healthy salad and bowl restaurant company with locations in Pacific Beach and Hillcrest, has expanded to Solana Beach with a new café concept.
Our Green Affair Café opened March 25 in the Lomas Santa Fe Plaza. In contrast to its sister eateries, the café specializes in healthy brunch and lunch items. Menu specialties include high-protein pancakes, toasts, egg dishes, sandwiches, salads, smoothies, coffee drinks, fresh juices and more. The 22-seat fast-casual restaurant is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
The company was founded by sisters Jacqueline and Jeanette Gaistman, who wanted to create a restaurant that served the healthy, clean style of food their entire family embraced after Jeanette was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at age 9.

Bonjour to Bonjour Patisserie
Bonjour Patisserie, an authentic French pastry and desserts business that has operated since 2020 at local farmers markets, opened its first brick-and-mortar location in Little Italy last month.
The new location at 320 W. Cedar St., No. 101, San Diego, is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays-Sundays. Meanwhile the business will continue to sell at farmers markets, including the North Park market from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Thursdays; Little Italy market from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays; and Hillcrest market from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays.
The business was co-founded by chef Romain Morés, who studied the art of French pastry in Bordeaux, France. His wife, Marissa, is also part of the business. Bonjour specializes in croissants, baguettes, macarons, sandwiches, wedding cakes and more. Visit bonjourpatisserie.com.

Tony Pepperoni hosts pizza giveaway
To celebrate the first anniversary of its Vista location, Tony Pepperoni will be giving away one free large cheese or pepperoni pizza per customer on April 27 at the Vista location only. From 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. that day, customers can pick up, dine in or take out their free pizza, but delivery will not be offered.
Sarah Richardson, director of operations for Tony Pepperoni, said the promotion is a way to thank existing customers and introduce itself to new ones. Tony Pepperoni was founded more than 20 years ago in Aliso Viejo by Joseph Locricchio, a Michigan native who founded his first pizzeria there at age 18. Tony Pepperoni has five locations in Aliso Viejo, Oceanside, Rancho Bernardo, Escondido and Vista.
The restaurants use recipes handed down by Locricchio’s Sicilian grandparents and are known for being family-friendly as well as gathering spots for sports team celebrations, with more than 20 satellite TVs in every location.
