Israel: The White House national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, will visit Israel to meet Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Isaac Herzog and the Jewish state’s war cabinet to discuss the latest developments in its conflict with Hamas.

Retail sales: Spending is expected to have fallen in November — a month that included a blockbuster Black Friday shopping event — by 0.1 per cent, which would match October’s decline.
