Ski resorts across the country are transforming from wintry getaways into summer escapes, and Vail Resorts is putting hotels from coast to coast on sale to make planning a trip even easier.

The company, which owns and operates dozens of ski resorts around the United States and beyond, is offering up to 20 percent off lodging as part of its Summer Escape sale, the company shared with Travel + Leisure.

Travelers who have the company’s Epic Pass can save even more with an additional 20 percent off.

The sale is available to book through May 10.

“The Summer Escape Sale is our best lodging deal of the summer, making this the perfect time to plan travel to iconic mountain destinations like Whistler Blackcomb, Vail Mountain, and Park City Mountain,” a spokesperson for Vail Resorts told T+L.

Book a stay in Gravity Haus Breckenridge, for example, and enjoy a new nighttime astrology class or a summit brunch, or head to the Grand Summit Hotel, a Rock Resort, in Park City for their summer concert series. And in Canada, visitors to Whistler Blackcomb can take advantage of the resort’s bike park while they save on a stay.

In addition to these resorts, travelers can save on stays at Vail Mountain, Beaver Creek, Crested Butte, and Keystone in Colorado; Heavenly in Lake Tahoe; Seven Springs and Liberty in Pennsylvania; Northstar and Kirkwood in California; Mount Snow and Okemo in Vermont; and Hunter in New York.

Travelers who want to plan ahead can also purchase an Epic Pass for next season with prices now starting at just $982. The pass offers unlimited and unrestricted access to more than 40 different mountain resorts — including Switzerland’s Crans-Montana Mountain Resort next year — as well as limited access to dozens more.

This past year, the Epic Pass got a digital upgrade, allowing holders to store their passes on their phones and scan it on the mountain hands-free using Bluetooth. Next season, the option will also be available for Canada’s Whistler Blackcomb.
