A vehicle veered into the front of a commercial building overnight on the Southwest Side, and the driver was later pronounced dead at an area hospital, Chicago police said.

Officers responded shortly before 11 p.m. to a call of an auto accident in the 6500 block of South Pulaski Road and found a silver SUV crashed into into the front of a commercial building.

The driver, described as a male in his 20s to 30s, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives were investigating.
