A 25-year-old woman was hospitalized with injuries considered life-threatening after she was ejected from her motorcycle in a crash in La Jolla on Aug. 9, police said.
San Diego Police Department officers responded to a report of the crash at 1:21 p.m. in the 2600 block of Torrey Pines Road. They learned the woman was traveling north on Torrey Pines on her 2024 Kawasaki Ninja when it struck the center median on a curve and she was thrown from the motorcycle, according to Officer Jose Perales.
The woman was taken to a hospital with fractures to her legs, injuries to her torso and internal bleeding requiring emergency surgery, Perales said.
Police said alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
