On-location filming in Los Angeles fell nearly 5% from June to September compared with a year earlier and 11% from the previous quarter, according to FilmLA.

The total is 36% below the five-year average, even though projects receiving California's expanded tax credits made up a record 40% of on-location filming.

Mayor Karen Bass called for an uncapped state film and TV tax credit and a federal credit.
