Joelle Barbarulo does not tell her story from a distance. When she talks with clients about healing, she speaks from experience.

Barbarulo, a registered nurse, relationship coach, speaker and bestselling author, has overcome childhood trauma, navigated divorce, survived a suicide attempt and battled spinal cord injuries. Each experience, she says, tested her strength, resilience and determination.

"Rather than allowing my past to define me, I chose healing, personal growth, and transformation," she says. "Today, I use those experiences to help others recognize that their past does not have to determine their future."

That choice became the foundation of Divinity Life Coaching, the practice she founded in Naples, Florida.

A Nurse Who Saw Beyond the Body

For more than 16 years, Barbarulo has worked as an RN, and she brings a background in neuroscience to her work. Through her own life, she came to understand how childhood wounds, emotional suppression and unresolved pain can shape identity, influence choices and create repeating patterns in relationships.

"I realized my purpose extended beyond caring for the physical body," she says. "I wanted to help others address the emotional wounds beneath the surface, break unhealthy patterns, and create lasting transformation."

Helping High Achievers Heal

Divinity Life Coaching serves high-achieving men and women who are successful in their careers and lives but struggle with repeating relationship patterns, emotional wounds and difficulty creating lasting connections.

Barbarulo helps them recognize and break cycles of overgiving, people-pleasing, chasing emotionally unavailable partners and shutting down emotionally. Through 1:1 mentorship, workshops and transformational resources, including her Secure Attachment Blueprint, she works at the root of those patterns so clients can build self-worth, emotional security and healthier relationships.

"I bring together science, lived experience, and emotional transformation to help people understand themselves, heal from within, and change the way they experience relationships," she says.

Raising a Family, Building a Mission

One of the accomplishments she holds closest is raising three children as a single mother while building her career and following her purpose.

Her professional achievements have followed. She is the bestselling author of Slaying Miami and has published seven additional books. She has been featured on Legacy Makers TV and Inside Success TV, appeared on the cover of Awakening Magazine and received five-star reviews for her work.

"My journey reflects resilience, perseverance, and a commitment to turning life experiences into a mission to help others transform their lives," she says.

One Soul at a Time

Barbarulo's vision is to expand her reach as an international speaker, sharing her message and making a meaningful impact around the world. She plans to keep coaching, writing books and creating programs that help people heal childhood wounds and build healthier relationships.

"Above all, my mission is to make a difference one soul at a time," she says, "helping people transform their pain into purpose and create a better future."

A Message to Entrepreneurs

To other entrepreneurs, Barbarulo offers advice shaped by everything she has lived through. "Follow your purpose, stay true to your values, and never compromise your integrity," she says. "There will be challenges and moments of doubt, but don't give up on something you believe you were meant to do. Lead with authenticity, work with passion, trust your path, and remember that success means nothing if you lose yourself along the way."

Her philosophy fits in three sentences: "Your past does not define you. Your wounds do not limit you. What you choose to heal and transform can change the direction of your entire life."
